Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains what personal data Travelenie processes, why we process it, who receives it, and what controls you have.

2. Personal Data We Process

  • Account and session identifiers: identifiers provided by the ChatGPT Apps platform to route requests to your workspace.
  • Trip data: trip names, dates, itineraries, booking details, destinations, preparation checklist status, and trip sharing records.
  • Journal data: journal notes, optional titles, dates, and locations.
  • Telemetry and diagnostics: server logs and widget telemetry events (for example, UI errors and state transitions).
  • Support communications: messages sent to support or privacy contacts.

3. Why We Process Data

  • Provide trip planning, trip editing, and sharing features.
  • Generate trip preparation guidance and related travel insights.
  • Enrich trip views with place and imagery metadata when configured.
  • Operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the service.
  • Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

4. Recipient Categories and Data Flows

We do not sell personal data. We share data with processors only as needed to run the service.

  • Cloud hosting and storage (Microsoft Azure): application hosting, logs, and trip persistence.
  • LLM provider(s): trip-prep analysis prompts and context are sent to the configured language model provider.
  • Geocoding/place enrichment provider(s): destination/place lookup requests are sent to configured geocoding services (for example, Google Places) when enabled.
  • Image enrichment provider(s): destination image lookup requests are sent to configured image services (for example, Unsplash) when enabled.
  • eSIM and lounge providers: relevant trip context is sent only when these features are enabled and used.
  • Telemetry processor: widget telemetry is written through server logs and may be forwarded to Logtail (Better Stack) when cloud log forwarding is configured.

5. Retention and Deletion

  • Travelenie does not currently use automatic TTL expiry for trip records.
  • When you delete a trip, Travelenie performs an immediate related-data purge for that trip, including linked segments, prep cache/completion docs, journal entries, and share artifacts.
  • You can also request broader deletion help by contacting support.

6. Your Controls

  • Delete individual trips from the app experience.
  • Revoke trip sharing grants at any time.
  • Request access/correction/deletion support by email.
  • Control browser-level cookie/storage settings for the marketing site.

7. Children and Age Suitability

Travelenie is intended for users age 13 and older. It is designed for general travel planning and does not target children under 13.

8. International Transfers

Depending on your location and configured processors, personal data may be processed in countries outside your own jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
